Hi All,

I wanted to start the blog of mvk films with some new news, on Blau Jeans. The German Consulate in San Francisco has kindly offered to sponsor Blau Jeans. I am both excited and honored to have their cultural sponsorship.  I screened a fine cut of Blau Jeans in my own home to hear one last chance on feedback before we locked picture, and decided to invite the German Consulate Head of Cultural and ConsularAffairs.  I was both curious (and slightly nervous!) to hear his thoughts. He simply replied ” Well done.”

Of all the screenings I have had along the way, I believe his approval meant the most as he is an expert in culture and the German story with the USA. 

When I started this project in Berlin, I thought I would be done in a year in a half.  Five years and a return production trip to Berlin later I am finally completing Blau Jeans.  Blau Jeans has taken its time to develop, but like a great bottle of wine I believe will be worth the wait!
