Hey Happy New Year! Writing a blog seems to be the last thing on our minds here at MVK FILMS, but we’ve had quite a good run in 2011 and would like to share. BLAU JEANS continued on the film festival circuit WINNING consecutively 2 awards: BEST INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY ITV FEST LOS ANGELES, and BEST DOCUMENTARY WORLDFEST HOUSTON INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.Next we had an incredible screening in SAN FRANCISCO at the SAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC LIBRARY which exceeded all of our expectations. Over 250 people attended and a full theater!!  Although BLAU JEANS was shot entirely in Berlin, it is a San Francisco film. So many crew and supporters of the film are from the Bay Area and all post production took place in the Bay Area.With the success of 2011, MVK FILMS is poised for a year to move forward with plans to develop a feature film. Keeping with the international niche of BLAU JEANS this feature is a departure to narrative storytelling that involves a group of young Europeans who visit their distant California cousins for a weekend in San Francisco. Think Henry James meets Valley Girl
